Salah satu program peningkatan ekonomi keluarga sedang diimplementasikan oleh YAGAT dengan dukungan New Zealand Head of Embassy Fund 2022-2023 di Desa Watowara, Kabupaten Flores Timur. Melalui program tersebut para nelayan diajak untuk membudidayakan teripang pasir (Holothuria scabra) dan rumput laut (Eucheuma cottoni) untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga nelayan dan konservasi kawasan di daerah pesisir.

Tanaman kelor (motong dalam bahasa Lamaholot) memiliki potensi yang besar untuk dikembangkan di Flores Timur. Melalui dana Direct Aid Program (DAP) Konsulat Jendral Australia di Bali, YAGAT akan mengembangkan pengelolaan kelor berbasis masyarakat di desa Lato, Kecamatan Titehena, Kabupaten Flores Timur. Program ini dirancang untuk peningkatan gizi dan pendapatan pada level rumah tangga.

Fatumnasi village is one of the villages in Timor Tengah Selatan regency, situated right next to Mutis Timau conservation area offering stunning view of nature from 2000ish meter above sea level. 

Women in Sakalak village are strong. They used to mine sand on the coastline. However, their activities had led to coastline erosion. YAGAT, funded by the Australian Government, try to stop the women from mining sand through sustainable organic farming and fishing program. Of course farming is not new for this group, YAGAT intervened in motivating the group to grow more vegetables so that they can sale it in the city. By doing this, their household could earn extra income. Besides facilitating organic farming, the members of the group were also provided with financial literacy through saving and loan activities. 

In Bahasa "mawar" refers to roses. Well-known for their fragrance. The Mawar saving and loan group is known for its sustainability.
